Whilst it may not be the best view, nor the most generous vantage point, the ability to see world-class live bands and sit down for a nice cocktail in the same place is hard to look past.

The Australian Open

Melbourne’s premiere tennis event, the Australian Open brings together some of the world’s leading tennis players for one grand slam event. Since 1905, the year it was first held, the Australian Open has become the largest annual sport event in the Southern Hemisphere.

This event takes place every year across the latter fortnight of January, meaning that blue skies and hot weather are sure to be present. Whether you decide to watch it from the stands or from the comfort of your serviced apartment, it’s sure to be a momentous occasion.

For those that have read previous posts of ours, you’ll know how much we rave about the National Gallery of Victoria as a must-see destination on your Melbourne tour. January 2019 sees the return of Melbourne’s favourite French pop festival, So Frenchy So Chic, in all its stylish glory. This annual showcase of French music, art, dance, and dining brings together everything that’s great about summer in Melbourne. Hosted at Werribee Park, and with free admission for kids 12-and-under, this beautiful backdrop brings so much to what would already be a stunning event.

The event takes place on the 13th of January, but it’s best to get your tickets as soon as possible. This is one international arts festival you won’t want to miss.
